Use BIOGUARD POOL MAGNET PLUS To Remove Metals From Your Pool Water.
***Note: BioGuard Pool Magnet Plus Works Best To Remove Metals When Paired With BioGuard Sparkle Up. If You Aren't Up For Using The Two-Part System We Would Recommend Proteam Metal Magic As That Product Is A Single Step. It May Not Be As Effective But It Does Quite A Good Job And Doesn't Require The Second Step.
Label Directions For Use:
Prevention Of Stains: To treat metals in pool water, backwash filter, then allow pump to run continuously during treatment. If the total amount of metals present exceeds 1.0 ppm, also use BioGuard Sparkle-Up to assist in metal removal. Use 1 quart of this product per 10,000 gallons of water per 1.0 ppm of metals. Maximum recommended dose is 3 quarts per 10,000 gallons. Add directly to the pool in the area of any localized metal stains. Some temporary clouding may occur. Clean or backwash filter as indicated by pressure build up. Never allow filter pressure to exceed the limit established by the manufacturer.
Maintenance Dose: When make-up water contains metals, add 3 fl oz. of this product per each 1,000 gallons of water added to the pool.
Removal Of Fresh Stains: Many fresh metallic stains can be removed by the action of this product. Turn circulation off for 8 hours. Slowly, and as close to the surface of the water as possible, pour one to three (depending on severity of stains) quarts of this product directly in the area of the stain. Do not swim or operate pump for 24 hours. After the waiting period, turn the pump on, circulate water continuously for 5 to 7 days and brush pool daily. Use BioGuard Sparkle-Up in the filter to remove re-dissolved metals. Repeat treatment for large metal stains. For white plaster pools where large metal stains have aged into the pool's surface, draining and acid-washing is recommended. Consult your BioGuard Dealer regarding this procedure.
